Spring Travels #1:Plein Air Convention Plein Air

I’ve had such a crazy travel schedule this spring that I have had to let the blog go- just couldn’t keep up. It is long past time to catch up.  So check back, I’ll have regular posts in the coming weeks covering my adventures in California, Utah, New Mexico, and Montana.

In April I attended The Plein Air Convention in Monterey with my 13 year old son, Jasper.  I taught a seminar on plein air pastel, and was a field painter in the evenings.  It really is the greatest plain air event on the planet, and my son and I had a amazing time!  I thought I’d start off with sharing some of the work that I did on the CA coast during the convention.  Next post I’ll share more about my son’s amazing experience at the convention…

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the plein air pastel work from the trip!
